Make Self-Confidence a Habit!


You were born to be real, not to be perfect.

It’s worse than you’d think.

According to research, only 4 percent of women around the world think of themselves as beautiful.

Almost 80 percent of women over the age of 17 will be “unhappy with their bodies.” Yikes.

This goes beyond self-image, too. Women in the workplace actually lose confidence as their career continues, with few feeling the confidence to lead or move into new roles.

This is crazy. Research also shows that women make up more than half of the U.S. population by a nose, outnumber men on college campuses in general, and control 80 percent of consumer spending in the country.

Let’s gain confidence in all ways. Think about your skills, your passion, and the parts of your body that stand out. I’ve done squats and lunges all my life as part of my workouts: I admit, I have a nice butt. I’m a good listener. I’m can paint a beautiful watercolor. I can grow a container garden like a boss. These things and more give me confidence when I focus on them, instead of how inadequate I feel. Let’s all try to do the same.

We’re not perfect, but we should take time to remember the great things about ourselves.
